Family owned since 1929
In 1929, Jørgen Jørgensen, a Norwegian outdoor enthusiast, began making durable outdoor equipment that would perform in Norway´s harsh and rugged land. Almost 100 years later Norrøna is still a family-owned and run company, based at Norrøna House in Oslo, Norway, and the company is still dedicated to creating the ultimate performance product for outdoor adventure lovers.
Loaded Minimalism™
Loaded Minimalism™ is the principle that guides Norrøna’s design team. Their mission is to establish construction techniques, and redefine the meaning of fit, fabric, function, and finish.

How to pronounce Norrøna
Norrøna is named after an ancient Norwegian Viking dialect – hardy adventurers who never let the weather stand in their way. To say Norrøna like a native lightly roll those ‘R’s, and gently accent the second syllable. The ø is prounced as a soft ‘ou’ sound as in ‘you.’
